Agriculture Research Station Opens in Lethbridge

A modern Lethbridge Agriculture Center opened in Lethbridge in 1977, bringing under one roof employees of Alberta Agriculture and Agriculture Canada. Included on the staff list were 15 professional agricultural engineers working in irrigation and farm development.

At the time, about 35 of APEGA’s 150 members in the Lethbridge area were directly employed in agriculture.

A few of the 15 APEGA members headquartered at the Lethbridge Agriculture Center shortly after its opening in 1977.
